Who Is "In Uniform New Zealand Limited"

In Uniform New Zealand is a company established specifically for the purpose of creating one of New Zealand’s largest collective buying groups. The more high quality suppliers we have the more attractive we will be to members.

The driving force behind In Uniform (NZ) Limited is a professional Fire-fighter, proud kiwi and proud to work in uniform. Believing in the win-win philosophy he is determined to enhance the way the 120,000+ uniformed staff members in New Zealand spend their hard earned income.

Our members all work 'In Uniform', they each strive to maintain and restore the quality of life to which you are so accustomed. The 28 qualifying organisations have been chosen for their 'front-line' involvement in protecting and preserving New Zealand.

Who Are In Uniform Members?

Frontline New Zealanders who normally work or volunteer “In Uniform” may be eligible to sign up to this members-only buying group. There are well over 120,000 workers In Uniform and additional 130,000 when we include their immediate families. We exclusively draw our members from the following key groups within New Zealand:

The immediate families of these people are also eligible to join as family members or as members in their own right. Spouses & children over the age of 16, living at the same address may join under the primary card. Children over the age of 18 may join in their own right. Friends, acquaintances, non immediate family and members of the general public are not eligible to join the scheme. What’s In It For Me (that's YOU, the supplier)?

You can also list item for sales directly on our site. The Garage Sale is ideal if you have unwanted stock to move.

Online Sales

The Garage Sale Online

Catering to our supplier network and a variety of wholesalers the ‘Garage Sale’ aspect of our website will offer goods for sale directly from the site. Many of these items will be:

  • end of line goods
  • previous seasons stock
  • sample stock
  • cosmetically damaged items
  • seconds

Members can list and purchase items online which will be shipped directly to their homes. This allows suppliers to dispose of goods without a direct effect on their ‘over the counter’ clients.

All items sold by our supplier network or directly through our website are covered by the Consumer Guarantees Act. Please note suppliers add costs for P & H and/or shipping/courier to goods when purchasing from our website. Some items will be dispatched directly from a wholesale outlet – in these cases any warranty or other enquiries will be handled by In Uniform New Zealand on behalf of the supplier.

+Saver – Super Deals

In Uniform will work with our supplier network to come up with the occasional One Off super specials available exclusively to our members. These goods will be at least 50% CHEAPER THAN RETAIL, However limited numbers or limited time applies to all +Saver deals. +Saver items change regularly and vary immensely, so keep an eye on them for the best bargains.

 

What Offer Should I Make To Members?

Having spent more than 20 years in retail, before and since joining the Fire Service, I understand the strain on businesses and particularly on margins in the current climate. You need to profit from your business - this is why we allow you many options: you may choose to offer our members a straight discount on your products and services or perhaps a free consultation is better suited to your business. If you have an in-house loyalty scheme bonus rewards points are a cost effective option. Your products may lend themselves to a floating discount dependant on products, volume or price point. Your trade pricing could be extended to our members or maybe just an extra stamp on your coffee card.

In Uniform is prepared to discuss and consider any offer that is genuine, sustainable for you and of benefit to our members. If you currently offer rewards such as Flybuys this should run alongside your offer, so as not to penalise members for shopping with you. Offers that are lower or the same as those available to the general public may not hold interest for our members and, although we may advertise them on your behalf, the uptake will be very low and you may not benefit from joining our network.  

How Much Does It Cost To Join?

Generally there is NO cost in joining In Uniform as a supplier. There are No joining fees. There maybe a setup cost if you choose to accept our cards directly through your EFT-POS system. There are commissions payable for items listed on the Garage Sale site. There are advertising opportunities on the site or for direct marketing to members. Some suppliers may be subject to a finder’s fee, dependant on the type and value of goods or services sold.

You also have two upgrade options when joining In Uniform:

Platinum Suppliers: Your investment for platinum membership is $295 +GST per annum, paid monthly or quarterly. This entitles you to:

  • Two national direct marketing campaigns per year.
  • Regular click through box and banner advertising on our main page
  • Search result preference – bringing your business to the top of the list in all supplier searches (online, by text or phone)
  • Listing preference – bringing your business to the head of all lists (normally alphabetical)
  • Lower commissions on items sold through the “Online Garage Sale”
  • An annual “Bonus” from In Uniform (NZ) Limited. This will take the form or a discount, reward or benefit.

Gold Suppliers: Invest $195 + GST per annum, paid monthly or quarterly. This entitles you to:

  • One national direct marketing campaign per year.
  • Regular click through advertising on our main page
  • Search result preference – bringing your business higher up the list in all supplier searches (online, by text or phone)

How Do I Join?

To join In Uniform as a supplier simply  CLICK HERE  to fill in the online application. As a foundation supplier you are also able to join as a card holder and make Fuel and other savings alongside our members.

How Will We Recognise Members?

Each In Uniform member will be issued either a “Fuel + Rewards” or “Rewards +” card. These distinctive cards will identify our members. In Uniform (New Zealand) offers a guarantee that all of our circulating cards are held by genuine current qualifying members. We will also provide information and training for your staff to ensure the smooth integration of In Uniform members into your sales system. Our technical team can assist with POS and other integration questions or problems.

What Information Do Members Get?

Our suppliers network is nationwide and covers a huge range of goods & services. When our members search for your company they will receive:

Your company name, address, contact phone number (for the branch nearest their region or current location) your store or opening hours and the offer you have made. If they search online they will see your company logo and a link directly to your website. (Some suppliers may incur a click through charge for this service - agreed in advance).

We can easily add extra information if you require. Our supplier network is extensive and covers a huge range of goods & services in the following categories:

To protect our membership privileges we do not list suppliers on our public website. Details of our network are available to members by logging in to the site. If you are thinking of joining contact our support team for more information. Once you log on you can browse by name, category, region, post code, etc. Members can find local suppliers through our 24 hour free phone Help-desk, through text messaging or by searching our website. Even when travelling members simply text to find the nearest discount provider.

Our Supplier Network is divided into three tiers – all as important as each other.

National Retail and Service Providers

Nationally recognised chain stores and service providers who offer a reward, discount or offer exclusive to our members. This includes a negotiated discount on every litre of fuel from Shell Oil (NZ), using the In Uniform “Fuel + Rewards” Card.

Regional Providers

Regional suppliers who can fill niche markets around New Zealand generally in areas not covered by our national providers. These suppliers still offer a benefit to members.

Member Providers

Many of our members are qualified trades people and many have businesses of their own. These members will be invited to join and offer their service to all members in their region.

All of our suppliers agree to terms and conditions of supply and are monitored for quality of supply. Members have the opportunity to place feedback on suppliers. Suppliers must maintain 98% positive feedback to be invited back to the scheme. Members may also nominate new suppliers, who we will vet, approach and negotiate with for the benefit of the supplier and all members.
