Environmental & Sustainability Policies
In Uniform works hard to limit our overall environmental impact. At in
Uniform our basic philosophy is: Do not take without giving
something back. If we have to print a document or information pack
for our members or suppliers then we had better be prepared to plant a tree
somewhere, and we are! Natives, natives and more natives - In Uniform will
keep a running tally of the plants we place in the ground and let you know
what it is.
The first plant will be a celebration of our official launch.
Printing and Publishing
We do
not print posters, flyers or brochures. We do not print invoices or receipts
unless required to do so by law. Wherever possible we reduce our paper
consumption.
Requests for information will be furnished by email, telephone or text
message, rather than print. Members requiring information in writing will be
charged a printing and handling fee - designed to further reduce the desire
for paper based information.
Membership Cards
Your membership cards are manufactured by a company (ABnote) that prides
itself for being on the forefront of green technology. Each
Rewards+ Card is made from 100% recycled material. On close
inspection you will notice the white portion of the card is in fact off
white - this is caused by thousands of tiny particles of recycled magnetic
stripes, shredded and re-constituted into new cards.
Your Fuel+ Rewards Card
is made from 80% recycled materials (The magnetic stripe requires a new base
layer for it to function properly.
Both types of membership card can be returned to us to be recycled into
the next generation of cards:

The Future
In Uniform will continue to investigate the viability of assets such as
on-site wind generation - to power our computers and servers - as these
options become viable they will be implemented. Check out Proven for more on

As our membership grows In Uniform will diversify into other areas where
we can al support one another and all benefit from the size of our
organisation. The In Uniform Property Investment Portfolio
is one idea that is undergoing due diligence. Most Investment opportunities
require a high initial buy in - great if you are already rich, but for
everyone else... we can combine our strength and invest for long term growth
at a level most of our members can afford. There would be no limit to how
much you invest and the minimum would be just $1000. Provided we have
sufficient subscription you will own part of a multi tenanted commercial
building or multi flat residential investment - bricks and mortar right here
in New Zealand. No fancy offshore trading in futures or massive returns
(that often end in NO returns). Just an easy to access "Safe as Houses"
investment for real kiwis.
